Revs. Jerry and Kate Angelo are the Founders and Directors of both of Vanguard Marriage and Family Advocates, and the ministry of Marriage Awakening in their hometown of Springfield, MO. They are also on staff with Family Life for Local Movements and Expansion for the state of Missouri, and Jerry is the State Chairman for City Elders Missouri. Jerry and Kate are both dedicated to creating a movement that impacts culture to honor, inspire, and empower marriages and families in the community through teaching, training, coaching, and events.
Jerry and Kate regularly speak at various local and national venues. They have also been featured on various podcasts and media as well as TV and radio broadcast programming including the FamilyLife Today Christian radio broadcast. They are authors of multiple books including: Forsaken, 7 Tips for a Healthy Marriage (upcoming), and The Emotionally Intelligent Marriage (upcoming). They are both credentialed ministers with the General Council of the Assemblies of God, and Kate has also co-authored a book with USA Today bestseller, Lynette Eason called, Driving Force: An Elite Guardians Novel.
Jerry and Kate have both been Board Certified Christian Life Coaches, and work with professionals and local pastors in communities across the nation to help them develop strong marriage ministries. In their ministry as well as organizing events over the years, they have found that encouraging married couples to go on regular date nights and participating in daily prayer with their spouses can lead to a significant positive impact in the health of those marriages. God has given Jerry and Kate a great vision of reaching couples for Christ, and they utilize their ministry to coach and mentor couples of all ages by sharing with them practical examples of God’s principles and plan for their marriage.
