Some of you may have heard the FamilyLife Today broadcast “The Complex World of a Blended Family“, specifically “From Broken to Beautiful” on July 5, 2016, and “Step Parenting Challenges” on July 6, 2016. We briefly discussed the challenges and victories regarding our testimony of how Christ has worked and continues to work in our blended family.
We realize this is a sensitive subject, trust me, it is sensitive for me and our family too! We know that there are people out there who are in a very similar circumstance as we were in years ago. Maybe you can’t see past the pain you are in, or maybe you know someone that is struggling right now. We pray God’s comfort to be ministered to those in need for those situations. The reason we agreed to participate in this broadcast was to find an opportunity to inspire and encourage those marriages and families that are in despair, and pray that they find the hope that has been eluding them.
Our story doesn’t end after those two broadcast dates. In fact, due to time constraints there is much more to the story than was aired on the radio and internet. We have been working on a book for quite some time now, and it is our pleasure to announce that Forsaken has finally been released at Amazon on July 1, 2016. Once again, our mission in telling our story in the broadcasts and now our book, Forsaken, has been to encourage those who are in similar circumstances, and to provide testimony that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them.
